It has calligraphic script to the center bordered by a formal pattern. The border and rim has further decorative chased work in the Khorasan style. The underside is plain aside a number in a small device.
The number is perhaps a date (1717) and this does accord with the period of the bowl. Much of the tinning remains and the copper is largely hidden, some of the tin has oxidised giving a nice black tone between the patterns as you can see in the images. A good example, much of the tinning remains, some oxidised black. Normal wear and some minor knocks and dents, but very restrained for it's 300 year old heritage.
